COACHES / MANAGERS / VOLUNTEERS

As with all Clubs it is run by Volunteers and we are no different, we need Parents to step forward to help Manage and Coach all teams. Please consider taking on a role or being an assistant! We will be offering coaching courses for any interested people.  If coaching or managing is not for you, there are numerous volunteer roles at the club that require minimal time but assist the club to run smoothly (eg field inspection officer – checks playing fields on match days for hazards and unlocks match day equipment.)

SPORT CODES OF BEHAVIOUR

Annerley Junior Football is committed to ensuring that children playing Football do so in an environment free from bullying or harassment from their team mates, other players, parents, spectators and officials. If our children do not enjoy the game, they will not grow through the experience. Being a ‘winner’ is not just about winning games. The Australian Sports Commission has issued Codes of Behaviour for Players, Parents, Coaches, Spectators, Administrators and Officials. Every Team Coach and Manager will be issued copies. Copies are also available from Registrars or any Annerley Junior Football Committee member. Please take the time to read the Codes – while they seem common sense, the behaviours we model are the behaviours our children adopt.

DRESS AND EQUIPMENT

All our junior players play in the club colours.  Small Sided Football teams will play in the club jersey given to them at sign on. Junior competition team players will play in club strips provided by the club, to team managers prior to the first fixture for distribution to each player on Game Day. The competition jerseys remain the property of the club and must be returned at the end of the season.

Each player must individually purchase:
1. Club Shorts and Club Socks, see examples at sign on days,
2. Shin Pads (Players without shin pads are not allowed to train or play),
3. Appropriate footwear (Boots),
4. Drink bottle for water, with player’s name.
